I had just returned from 30 consecutive days of studying yoga on a tropical Island in South East Asia. To be honest there were so many feelings, the physical feeling I remember most was as l arrived home and walked to my house. Something was different. I could feel my feet grip the earth beneath me like jaguars claws gripping the trunk of a tree as it climbed. I felt so alive from head to toe. I recognised that the physical, mental and emotional shift from this adventure had me feeling like l've never felt before. This must be how the X-Men feel. So I decided that this was my lifestyle from here on. I never saw all of this coming. I left school at 16 to become a Signwriter. I've worked in the sign industry for almost 30 years now. I played in heavy metal bands through my 20's as a lead vocalist/bass guitarist and continue to paint photorealism art. Yoga snuck in along the way. It fixed my back. Gave me clarity. Opened my heart and taught me how to feel. Then as a teacher it gave me a place within the community. Yoga has become a steady force in my life. I continue to be a student and seek the best teachers to develop my understanding of this life experience.
